A few thoughts about rochester events
Aptly nicknamed The Worlds Image Centre, Rochester is also home to optical and imaging research centers at the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology. The Wegmans Food Markets chain also had its start in Rochester, from its humble beginnings as a small neighborhood grocery store to its current status as a renowned food market chain that extends from the northeastern United States to northern Virginia. Life in Rochester, New York is not all business and no play, however. During the spring and summer months, residents and visitors can choose from any number of festivals such as the Lilac Festival, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, the East End Festival, the Corn Hill Festival, the Park Avenue Festival, the Clothesline Arts Show, and the Rochester High Falls International Film Festival. There is even a Cold Rush Winter Celebration that highlights winter sports.
